Here is some information about Stagecoach and your first day.
The Stagecoach Promise
-
At Stagecoach Redditch, we promise to give our students the creative courage to embrace life and make the most of their talents and opportunities.
-
As a leading body in the performing arts industry, we will nurture and inspire every child who joins us.
-
We will keep them safe and give them the courage to be themselves.
-
Your child will learn how to sing, dance and act while developing a broad range of life skills.
-
Our students become more self-assured, expressive, sociable and imaginative and they learn how to tackle situations with resilience, creativity and courage.
What to expect?
The first few weeks we will help your child settle in by helping them make friends and doing lots of getting to know you exercises to learn names and learn what we do. We will also get straight on with our normal classes so you will be nice and busy.
What do I wear?
Your child should wear comfortable clothes such as a T-shirt, leggings or joggers and trainers whilst they take part in the two week trial. Long hair needs to be tied up and jewellery and watches should be left at home. Uniform can be purchased at the school once you are sure Stagecoach is right for you after the two-week trial.
What do I bring?
Bring a drink and snack for break time for Main Stages (just a drink for Early Stages). If your child must bring a mobile phone please make sure they know this must be on silent and kept in their coat or bag. Stagecoach Redditch does not take any responsibility for these.
Where do I go?
Friday & Saturday classes are based at St Augustine's Catholic High School and Thursday classes are based at St Benedicts Catholic High School
Do I stay or do I go?
Parents are best outside the classroom as children settle better without their parents around. Our child safeguarding policy also states that we do not allow parents on site - you are not a stranger to your child but you are to all the other students. We will text all new parents to let you know how your child/ren are getting on. Please add our WhatsApp number into your contact - 01527304043.
Our teaching team are excellent at making children feel comfortable in a new environment and rest assured that we will contact you if your child does not settle.
Medical Issues or Learning Needs
If your child has any ongoing medical conditions we should know about please let Michelle know. Any medication coming on site needs to be handed to Michelle and a medical form completed.
We do our best to accommodate individual requirements, please let us know in advance if there are any reasonable adaptations we need to make so your child feels at ease. When necessary, resources are online to help you help your child with lines, lyrics and choreography too!

Terms & Fees
We have three terms each year and usually stop for half terms. Once you have completed your two week trial and have confirmed that you wish to continue, a fee note will be sent to cover the remainder of the term. You can pay fees by bank transfer, credit or debit card or childcare vouchers.
If you decide not to continue with Stagecoach after the trial please let me know so that we can offer the place to another child.
